GS Dept ends Buwan ng Wika with Expo Bulakenyo exhibit

One of the booths during the grand Expo Bulakenyo Exhibit to end the Buwan ng Wika Celebration in the Grade School Department showcased local products.
The Grade School Department ended Buwan ng Wika with a one-of-a-kind grand Expo Bulakenyo Exhibit at the Fr. Louis Chauvet Gymnasium, August 28.

Showcasing all the towns of Bulacan province clustered into the four Congressional Districts, the expo exhibit featured the best of the different towns comprising the districts. The best features included among others the geographical locations, tourist attractions, known local products, famous patron saints and their feasts, famous local and national heroes borne of the featured towns, and short history of the places.

The showcase was coupled with interpretative dance presentations endemic to the districts, some were even accompanied by live dramatizations where the dialogs highlighted the significant things about the different towns.

The expo exhibit was one of the contested activities of the department and it was an activity where parents were fully involved in the designs, construction, and conceptualization of the different booths.

Sr. Marie Celine P. Santos, SPC, the GS Principal and Community Superior expressed her gratitude to the parents for their full support thereby making the celebration of the Buwan ng Wika truly educational and unique for the Paulinians. She was beaming with pride and appreciation as she led the GS Department in closing the Buwan ng Wika with the grand exhibit.

Meanwhile, Sr. Maria Remedios R. Cayetano, SPC, Directress and HS Principal, commended the GS Department for coming up with such a grand exhibit to end the month-long celebration of the national language, Filipino. She even encouraged the high school department to pay a visit to the exhibit as it showcased historical, cultural, socio-economic, and religious lives of Bulakenos.

The winners of the expo exhibit contests were the following: 1st Place - District III, 2nd Place - District IV, 3rd Place - District 1. A special award was given to District II.

The winners were determined by the board of judges composed of Paulinians - Provincial Board Member Josef Andrew "Anjo" T. Mendoza, famous and almost celebrity Taal Barangay Captain Rennan T. Eusebio, and retired SPCB Grade School English Coordinator, Miss Nancy C. de la Cruz.

The theme of the celebration was "Filipino: Wika ng Pagkakaisa".
