Paulinian wins oration tilt

Gold medalist Jan Emmanuel B. Silverio of St. Paul College of Bocaue poses with the officials of the 2014 English Oratorical Contest as he received his medal and certificate.
Writing his own oratorical piece and giving it life himself, a senior Paulinian student of IV-St. Alphonsus class topped the Education District (EDDIS) II English Oratorical Contest held at the Felizardo C. Lipana National High School, Sta. Rita, Guiguinto, Bulacan on August 22.

Jan Emmanuel B. Silverio won gold for his moving and strongly delivered oratorical piece which he entitled "Rizal, A Beacon of Hope".

The oratorical tilt with the theme "Jose Rizal's Impact to Today's Youth" gathered 11 private schools, making Silverio besting ten top-of-the-line contestants.

Silverio will advance to the Provincial Level to collide with the best of the other Education Districts of Bulacan, both from private and public schools, to be held later this year.

The school gave a Certificate of Recognition to Silverio during the First HS Assembly held on August 29, 2014.

Mr. Rolando N. Javier, Jr., an English teacher in the High School Department served as his official coach. However, both Miss Maricar M. Bargado, the English Subject Team Leader, and Miss Mercy C. Morales also helped prepare Silverio for the contest.
