SPCB bags 14 EDDIS II Presscon awards

Winners of the recently concluded EDDIS II Press Conferences for Elementary and High School pose on stage as they were presented, August 1.

St. Paul College of Bocaue brought home a total of 14 Education District (EDDIS) II Press Conference Awards held in separate venues this July.

The Grade School Department raked six journalism awards while the High School Department bagged eight recognitions.

The EDDIS II Elementary Schools Press Conference was held at the Balagtas Central School while the EDDIS II Secondary Schools Press Conference was held at the Felizardo C. Lipana National High School in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

The winners of the Grade School Department were the following:
Adrienne Ronquillo, 12th Place in Pagsulat ng Tanging Lathalain
Alejandria Lei Sobrevinas, 10th Place in Science Writing
Ma. Denise Feliciano, 5th Place in Pagkuha ng Larawang Pampahayagan
Bianca Trizhialyn Sayo, 3rd Place in Pagsulat ng Balita
Justine Martinez, 1st Place in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay ng Agham
Faith Andrea David, 1st Place in Feature Writing

Meanwhile, the High School winners were:
Kyle Alain Tan, 12th Place in Science Writing English
Jan Michael Esteban, 4th Place in Science Writing Filipino
Kyle Mendoza, 12th Place in Copy Reading and Headline Writing Filipino
Maltha Denise Villarubia, 7th Place in Copy Reading and Headline Writing English
Althea Abejo, 9th Place in Editorial Writing Filipino
Kimberly Czantal Tigley, 8th Place in Editorial Writing English
Mary Joyce delos Reyes, 4th Place in News Writing Filipino
Jose Marie Cabo, 7th Place in Sports Writing Filipino

The GS coaches were Mrs. Maria Azcela Zosima R. Cabo and Mr. Joe Francisco C. Navarro while the HS coaches were Miss Maricar M. Bargado and Miss Mercy C. Morales.

The winners were presented on stage during the culminating program of the Nutrition Month.

Mr. Ernesto U. Guillermo, Jr., the HS Academic Chair, interviewed all the HS winners together with their coaches on stage and asked them to relate their feelings and insights on their experiences. Meanwhile, Miss Imelda Baltazar, the GS Academic Chair presented all the GS winners after the First Friday Mass on the same day.


All the 14 winners will compete in the Division Press Conference which will be held later this year.
