3 Paulinians bag 3 awards in 3rd ‘Krus sa Wawa’ tilt

Rev. Fr. Ramon 'Mon' Garcia, the Parochial Vicar of the St. Martin of Tours Parish, led the awarding of the winners of the 3rd Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa Inter-School Competitions.

Three Paulinians brought home 3 prestigious awards in the 3^rd Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa Inter-School Competitions held Friday, July 6, 2012.

Jodeline Michaela Pecson emerged as champion in Essay Writing English while Ivy Sophia Manalad got

3^rd Place in Essay Writing Filipino. Both were from the Grade School Department. Tiffany Lou Barraero placed 2^nd in Essay Writing English for the High School Category.

Pecson received a trophy while Barraero and Manalad took home silver and bronze medals respectively.

Mr. Joe Francisco of the Grade School Department and Mr. Simon Peter Gana of the High School Department served as their coaches.

The competition was sponsored by the Devotees of St. Martin of Tours – Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa in cooperation with the Parish Commission on Mass Media of the Parish Pastoral Council of the St. Martin of Tours Parish. The contests included Essay Writing both in English and Filipino for Grade School and High School students, while the Poster Making was opened only to High School.

The awarding ceremonies were integrated with the 5:00 p.m. Mass on the day of the Feast of the Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa on July 8, 2012.

Rev. Fr. Ramon “Mon” Garcia, the Parochial Vicar, officiated the ceremonies. Mrs. Irma N. Chua, the PPC Secretary, announced the winners, while Mr. Adiel Sam de Jesus, the PPC Commission on Mass Media Head, together with Mrs. Ida Blas, the President of the DSMT-MPKSW, assisted Fr. Mon.

A tarpaulin has been made for the winners in the Grade School Department.
