The Scriptwriting-Radio Broadcasting-English entry of St. Paul College of Bocaue bagged 3rd Place in the Division Secondary Schools Press Conference for Collaborative Publishing and Scriptwriting-Radio Broadcasting at the Balagtas National Agricultural High School in Pulong Gubat, Balagtas, Bulacan. The competitions were held last September 29, 2014.
The competition was a sequel to the EDDIS Level Secondary Schools Press Conference held in the different Districts of the Province of Bulacan. SPCB belongs to the EDDIS II. Bulacan is divided into four Education Districts.
Competitors during the DSPC were the top three teams from each Education District. These top three teams bested all the schools within their respective districts.
The team was composed of Ceasar Gabriel Fernando-News Anchor, Maltha Denise Villarubia-Co-Anchor, Kyle Alain Tan-Sports Field Reporter, Kim Elizabeth de Jesus-International Field Reporter, Fabiola Alyssa Bringas-Weather Field Reporter, Mary Joyce delos Reyes-Local News Field Reporter, and Rean Angelo San Luis-Technical and Sound Effects Man.
Miss Maricar M. Bargado, the Paulinian Prism adviser, and Mr. Ernesto U. Guillermo, Jr., the HS Academic Chair served as the coaches and trainers of the contestants.
The broadcasting team in Filipino and the Collaborative Publishing Teams in English and Filipino fell short in the top 3.
Only the 1st Placer will advance to the regional competitions.
"Hindi man nanalo (lahat), kami ang simula," Ravien P. Gumatay, the news anchor for Filipino Team posted in his Facebook, referring to greater heights that Paulinians may reach.

Gabrielle Mae Cabrera, one of the writers in Collaborative Publishing - Filipino, rendered an intermission number during the program.
