Paulinians offer prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary on her birthday, September 8, 2014.

The entire academic community of St. Paul College of Bocaue offered prayers, songs, and flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary on the occasion of her birthday yesterday morning, September 8, 2014, at the Fr. Louis Chauvet Gymnasium.

Spearheaded by the Christian Formation Office, Sr. Ma. Gemma Moralita, SPC, the Christian Formation Head and Religious Education Subject Team Leader, prepared a creative liturgy highlighted by the praying of a modified Holy Rosary where all the Holy Mary's had inserted special prayer intentions.

The Grade School pupils offered flowers before the image of Mother Mary as a sign of reverence and birthday greeting. Then there was singing of the Happy Birthday Song by the entire school.

Sr. Maria Remedios R. Cayetano, SPC, Directress-HS Principal expressed her gratitude for the special celebration of the birthday of the Blessed Virgin. She encouraged everyone to carry a Holy Rosary always and pray the rosary regularly especially every 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

"Make it habit to carry and pray the rosary," she said.

She narrated the true story of a child who was dying and allegedly saw a bright light with Mother Mary. The child was a devotee to Mother Mary. The mother of the child allegedly told her dying kid to follow the bright light.

Sr. Remedios also expressed her desire to revive the devotion to the Mother of Perpetual Help, and wished all students would know by heart the different Marian songs.
