Directress leads Paulinians in Novena for Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa

 Sr. Bernadette Racadio, SPC, Directress and High School Principal led a big number of Paulinians, with the Sisters and teachers, who attended the 4th day of the Novena of Masses for the feast of the Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa yesterday at 6:00 o'clock in the morning.

St. Paul College of Bocaue was among the major sponsors of the Mass on the 4th day. July 2 is the exact date when the ill-fated Pagoda in 1993 capsized claiming the lives of 269 devotees during the traditional ligiran on that fateful night.

The Third Year level and some Grade School pupils were asked to attend the Mass whose theme was Ang Krus ni Kristo: Sagisag ng Tuwa.

Rev. Fr. Jovi Sebastian, the Parish Priest of St. Martin of Tours Parish, presided over the Mass. It was held at the Dambana ng Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa located at the right side of the main church.

The feast of the Mahal na Poon ng Krus sa Wawa will be celebrated on July 8, 2012, the first Sunday after July 2.

A slow tolling of the bells in the Parish was done last night at 8:00 o'clock as a tribute to the victims of the Pagoda Tragedy of 1993.
