SPCB Alumna soaring high in show business

Nicomaine Dei C. Mendoza, a.k.a Yaya Dub of Eat Bulaga's #KalyeSerye, graduated from St. Paul College of Bocaue in 2011.

An alumna has become almost an overnight phenomenal star in show business. She is Nicomaine Dei C. Mendoza, a.k.a Yaya Dub of Eat Bulaga on GMA 7.
Maine graduated from St. Paul College of Bocaue in 2011. In her 3rd Year, she belonged to the cream section.
She became famous for her dubsmash antics on Facebook that earned her the moniker "Dubsmash Queen of the Philippines".
Due to her viral videos dubsmashing known personalities, Eat Bulaga plugged her in its regular Juan for All, All for Juan segment. Subsequently, she was cast as Yaya Dub, the nanny of Wally Bayola's character, Lola ni Dora. Then a twist accidentally drove her to phenomenal stardom when Eat Bulaga learned that she had an "alleged crush" on co-host Alden Richards. The split-screen segment caught the two waving to each other which paved the way to the AlDub craze.
To date, the ‪#‎AlDub‬ love story has captured the hearts of millions that keeps Eat Bulaga always leading the ratings.
Yaya Dub, Nicomaine to us in St. Paul, is one versatile Paulinian, who, even when she was yet with us, was already a witty, funny, smiling, yet serious student in her studies.
We are happy that her stardom on television, on the Internet, on print media, is wholesome, clean, and fun.
Yaya Dub, together with Alden, AlDub, continue to inspire fans who go frenzy on their 'love story'. Many say they could easily relate with the characters of Yaya Dub and Alden. Others feel the excitement of 'being in love' again. The ‪#‎kiligpamore‬ phenomenon has become a trend almost everyday. Everyday, millions are glued on the 'love story' of the‪#‎KalyeSerye‬ segment of Eat Bulaga.
Yaya Dub, SPCB is proud of you!
